Anniversary Treat...

How was our First Wedding Anniversary?!? :-O

hmmmm, after work my hubby fetch me at the office... He did surprise me with bunch of beautiful flowers inside our car (sweetie, sweetie pie!)... As we planned, we attended the evening mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dubai... After the mass we settled to have dinner...

Along the way, we're still not sure where to have a fancy meal... we're choosing between Chili's and Coco's... at last we finally decided to have our dinner at...

Since we are already starving, as in really craving for food, without any further delay, we ordered these yummy foods....

wow, we can't resist upon seeing the lip-smacking foods in front of us, it made us more hungry... Now, it's time for a tasty and wonderful dinner, of course with my honey bunch...
Gotta start munching to fill our empty stomachs...

Those foods are so great, it's actually a good choice...

Hehehe, i think the picture says it all... woo-ohhh, i can't manage to stand after that heavy meal... :-)

It's Good to See You Again...

(Dinner at Madinat Jumeirah with my good old friend May)

May is a good friend of mine since College. She's my buddy and classmate from 1st year to 2nd year, we partially parted when we finally decided which field in Psychology we are going to pursue. She chose Clinical Psychology while I end up with Industrial Psychology. Time was so tight during our 3rd and 4th year so we seldom tag along... The last thing i heard from her is that she's pregnant and 4 months on the way just before our graduation...

We lost touch after our graduation, as in totally no communication...

Until last 25th December 2006 (Christmas Day!) my hubby and i along with my cousins attended the Christmas Mass, after the mass we decided to have dinner... Not sure where to go and the fact that i have the worst head ache ever on Christmas Day, we accidentally landed at Pizza Co., Satwa Dubai... My hubby opened the main door then me followed by my cousins... while i was walking like an ugly duck, i heard my husband starting to converse with a lady on the table on his left, i thought it was just one of his office colleague in which mostly happens... while trying to catch him to have a peep on who would that be, i was stunned to see my old friend May standing in front of me... God gracious!!! its been 8 long years, finally we meet again... We've never cross path in Manila, but what a hellah small world... It was indeed a wonderful Christmas gift... After a few chit chats and due to my horrible head ache we decided to catch up and meet some other time... So we parted with the biggest smiles on our face...

As we both promised, a day after my b-day, my dear friend May invited us for a dinner. We both wanted a quiet but cozy place so at least we can talk a lot... We went to Madinat Jumeirah and search... we end up at The Meat Co., the food was really good, but it's quite expensive... We ordered their specialty the Barbecue Spare Ribs, Blue Marlin, Vegetable Garden Salad, Mashed Potatoes and some soup as the starter... We really had a great time...

After the fabulous dinner in a quiet and cozy place, later on we realized we have landed in this place with the British band playing on stage... it's hellah fun...

Congratulations Mrs. Sharon E. Prasad

My good friend and office colleague Sharon, gave birth to a healthy baby boy last 27th December 2006. The second child for Mr. & Mrs. Prasad Cruz, they named the cute baby Harsh...

There's a short story behind before she gave birth.

To start with, last year (2006) our company have decided to upgrade our Medical Health Insurance for Year 2007. Our bank upgraded the limit per member, staff spouse and dependants can now avail Medical Health Insurance from our company plus Maternity benefit which includes hospital bills and 13 SOAP visits to the OB. This new policy took effect last 1st January 2007. The story is... all of us in our Division is trying to get hold of the baby 'till January 2007 so that she will be the first to avail the maternity benefit, but it seems baby Harsh doesn't want to listen to us and very eager to see mommy early and he can not wait for another 5 days...

Everybody was so glad when this handsome little tot came to the world...

Shopping Spree!!!

Here is the mere fact why they call Dubai the Shopping Capital of UAE...

Major Events such as Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), Gitex, Global Village & Ramadan Sale happens every year, this country never ran out of good buys... Tourists from all over the world comes at least once a year to grab great deals... well, this is also the best time to buy pasalubong for your families and friends...

Current event is the Dubai Shopping Festival, most shopping malls are crowded nowadays, so better be ready to bump every butt... I admit that i 'm one of those freaks who shop like crazy and the last thing i realized, i'm already broke huhu!!! Really i've gone mad shopping during this season in which sometimes i can't bearably control my budget... the only reason echoing in my mind whenever i'm pulling myself off to buy is that, i only enjoy shopping whenever it is on sale (oh crap, poor me!!!) the funny thing is that this country never runs out of good buys, hehehe, this means i'll never stop shopping... i spend most of my spare time wandering around malls in which satisfies my pleasure... On the lighter note, i don't spend that much though, i do make it a point that the item/s that i'm eyeing is really worth the cost, it doesn't mean that i'm grabbing every item on sale...

So i suggest if you are planning to visit UAE have a pocket full 'coz it's really tempting...

Yah right, it's my 29th birthday (oh sucks, do i really have to mention my age?!?)... anyways, it feels good to be 29 though... this will be the last year to be in the 20's circle (ughhh, it hurts!!!)... adding another year is not that bad at all, this means that you have succeeded for the past years and it's time to open a new chapter... so be thankful and grateful for you have been so blessed... as what they say, for Female, life begins at the age of 30 and for Male, life begins at the age of 40... isn't it unfair?!? well, what the heck, life still goes on...

My day started by a warm birthday kiss from my loving hubby (how sweet!!!) and then followed by an early call from my parents back home... then my mobile phone starts beeping, receiving text messages and calls from time to time... to all my friends who did remember my b-day, thanks a lot and i really appreciate every single thought... we also attended an evening mass to thank GOD for the wonderful years of my LIFE!!!

Now i have already spent, should i say half of my life... For 29 years, God is always great... i've been blessed all through the years... he had given me a wonderful family, a perfect partner in life, a brilliant career, excellent friends worth to be treasured and a life full of love and joy...

it was an exciting holiday... 4 days out of work and pressure... Eid Al Adha collided with the New Year Celebration... let me say it was a good thing, 'coz from previous years we're only given 1 holiday which is the New Year's day, but this time it was 4 long days, so we indeed enjoy the holidays...

• December 29, 2006 - we slept to the maxxx... woke up at 4.30 pm to prepare ourselves... we have to attend the post Christmas Party at Chikka BMC, Delmon Hotel with the Filipino Colleagues of my hubby... it was a very good evening, lots of foods and drinks... H2O Band was also cool, everybody left the bar after the 2nd set...
• December 30, 2006 - we woke up at 10.00 am, have our usual brunch... getting ready for this will be a tiring day... General Cleaning, ughhh... we have to start cleaning the entire house... i know this will not take much of our time 'coz our flat is not that big though, but by just thinking and looking on the things we have to do, wohhoohh, it makes me feel like, can we do it some other day!!! but a big NO, why to postpone things which you can barely do today... well, with the help of my hubby and his cousin, we're done by 3.00 pm... 4.30 pm we are on our way to visit my tita, she fell sick yesterday, she was rushed to American Hospital because of Food poisoning and the doctors found Salmonela Bacteria inside her stomach... luckily she was been released on the same day... on our way to her place we decided to order some pizza's & pasta's (yummy!) but since she lost her appetite, we did attacked the food together with my cousins (hungry n kaya kme, hehehe)... after filling our hungry stomachs with good foods and after few chit chats, we decided to go shopping (this is my favorite part!!!)... this is my reward after the tiring house chores... i shop some Nine West bag, slippers & shoes and i also bought 2 slippers from Vincci (panic buying b daw!!!), i love the boots that my sister bought from Nine West it's very cool... what a busy but rewarding day!!!
  
• December 31, 2006 - got up late i think around 10.45 am... gotta go to the supermarket to buy some stuffs that we'll be needing for tonight... i will be cooking Pancit Canton, we will also be having Lumpiang Sariwa, Shanghai Roll, Relyenong Bangus and Gelatin... while my loving hubby is taking his noon nap, we're all busy preparing the menu for the New Year Celebration... after cooking, we did enjoy our videoke, we're singing like crazy... 12.00 midnight, we eat together in our small dinning table... we've been invited to spend the New Year's eve at our Ninang Carol's place, but since i am totally wasted i decided to stay at home and my hubby and his cousin did drop by, they came home at 2.00 am....
  
• January 1, 2007 - Happy New Year!!! lots and lots of foods inside the fridge... ooh, better decide what to eat for brunch... eat then sleep (grabe tamad noh!!!)... then we attended the afternoon mass, after the wonderful New Year Mass, we went to Lamcy Plaza to do some window shopping (shopping again!!! - anyways, window shopping lang nman eh!) then we went to Satwa to visit my cousin, we had our dinner there (sarap ng food, kaya busog nnaman!) our day ended at 12.00 midnight... Nyt Nyt and sleep tyt..

Today, 2nd January 2007, we're all back to work... i am here at the office (kaya lang tamad pa ko magtrabaho kya nag-update muna me ng blog!!!) doing nothing, hehehe!!!

May the Year 2007 be more Fruitful and much Blessed...
