operation...

Dad is currently in the hospital, he undergone bypass operation yesterday at Philippine Heart Center.  Sad to say that we, his children are all based overseas, plus my mom who is currently here to look after my sister and her newly born baby.  After much of discussion on how we'll handle the situation, we then finally all agreed to stay back, instead of buying expensive tickets we'll just send the money to cover the operation expenses.  This operation is pretty expensive in the Philippines, we've spend half a million for the operation.  Well money is nothing, what's important is that we were able to extend our Dad's life.

Despite the fact that we're not physically there to take care of him, we can still say that we are lucky enough to have our extended families to be there by his side during this difficult time.  We're also thankful that my dad is super understanding though we can feel how he longed to see his family to be by his side.  Sorry dad for we're unable to attend to your needs and portray our roles as your children, I just hope that in some ways you still support our decision.

One of OFW's sacrifices, being far from family is never easy.  Some may not understand on how we handle the scenario but we don't care about their negative comments, all we know is we've done what is best for our family.

Dad is still recovering in ICU.  We are keeping ourselves updated from time to time by calling our dear families back home.

Hey, Dad hope you'll be home soon, WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
